What is BFOU cable?
BFOU is a fire resistant offshore power cable for fixed installation on offshore units.
BFOU is produced according to NEK 606 and IEC 60092-353 standard.
It is tinned stranded copper wire conductor, fire-proof mica tape as a fire barrier over the conductor, HF-EPR or XLPE insulation, halogen-free compound inner sheath, tinned copper wire braided armor, and halogen-free thermosetting compound SHF2 or SHF Mud outer sheathed.
BFOU features fire resistant, flame retardant, low smoke, halogen free and mud resistant cable as requested.
